Do you know where maple syrup comes from?  The Sugar Maple is one of the most important trees in the eastern United States and Canada, both economically and ecologically. It is the dominant tree in the northern hardwood forest.  Learn all about maple trees and how they produce maple syrup. We will learn about a woman-owned, family-run maple business in Vermont and how to make Maple Syrup. This course does have some optional recipes for maple cookies and popcorn.

This course is best done as a family or a troop.
