Photos show others how you see the world! When girls earn the Photographer Badge, they learn about the technology behind the cameras and hone their skills, presenting the world in their own unique way.
To complete this badge we will:
- Focus on light by shooting five portraits
Soft, even, indirect light
- Focus on composition by taking five photos of the same object, person or landscape from different vantage points
Rules of Thirds, Framing, Leading Lines & Depth of Field
- Focus on motion by taking photos of objects in motion
Shutter speed & using TV mode
- Explore the power of photography by attending a photography exhibit
Griffin Museum of Photography
- Tell a story with photography by making a digital slide show

Zoom: Our zoom does not complete the badge requirements. We will learn about different cameras, nature photography and do a photo challenge together to learn about framing. This is a great time to meet Girl Scouts from around the world and ask questions. You will need to complete the remainder of the course on your own through our video content in your account.
