Description
As an artist, you can walk outside and see colors, shapes and ideas for things you want to create. Find out how you can make your own art outdoors and have fun doing it.
- Find art ideas outdoors: Using a photography lens hack, take pictures of different objects from our list.
- Make something! Rub or press something from nature and make a card.
- Dance or make music outdoors: Learn a few yoga poses and dance to the yoga slide
- Be a nature photographer: Learn about horizon lines, rule of thirds and forced perspective to capture one of a kind artwork outdoors.
- Design with nature:. Build a Brownie Elf house outdoors.
Supplies Needed:
- Step 1 & 4: camera or mobile device
- Step 2 card: paper, crayons, leaves
- Step 3 yoga: open, safe area to move around
- Step 5: Random outdoor supplies such as, sticks, twigs, leaves, pinecones, rocks, mud, ect.
Live Zoom: The live zoom for this course is a bonus feature to meet Girl Scouts around the world and participate in a fun photography lesson. We will cover step 4 during the zoom. All other steps are virtual and self-paced. You will be given instant access to the full course at purchase.
Important Information:
- This course does require some exploring outside, participate with adult supervision.
- This course is roughly 2 hours and will cover all badge requirements.
- The badge is not included, please purchase from your local Girl Scout Council.
- All live zooms start on-time, you will need a quiet open space with a little room to move around.
