Sometimes you can’t change what happens in your day, but you can change how you react to it. Scientists say that people who stay positive or are optimistic, are happier, even if more bad things happen to them! Watch the video below to learn some yoga poses using words of affirmation, followed by a meditation.

After you watch and participate in the video below, contact someone in your Girl Scout troop or in another troop—you could write to them, call them or meet with them virtually (make sure you have permission from an adult before you do this). Talk about what you have in common with them and about what makes you happy. Share with them the different things you have tried in this video, such as yoga, words of affirmation and meditation.
